Materials Required to install a New Shower Heads:
- New Shower Heads or Hand-held shower Heads.
- Teflon Tape
- Adjustable Wrench
Now, After gathering all the required material for the process.
Select the type of shower heads you want to install in your bathrooms.
Make sure before you begin there is no initial leaking in the shower heads as you work to install new one.
It will be best if you turn off Water Supply to avoid any kind of uncertainty while you install new Hand-Held Shower heads in your bathrooms.

Remove Old Shower Head
Yeah! It time to get fed-up of your old shower heads.
Wrap a cloth around the base of the shower arm.Open up a pair of channel locks and grip them onto the cloth and shower arm to hold the shower arm secure when you screw off the shower head.
Turn the shower head counter clockwise to completely unscrew the shower head from the shower arm.
Some shower heads are screwed on rather loosely, and can be easily removed by turning it counterclockwise with your hands.
There is no need of any particular tools to loosen up Shower heads. Pipe wrench is not compulsory. Sure, you might need something a little bigger than regular pliers, but you don’t need that kind of brawn at all. But still if you wish to use Pipe wrench you MUST first wrap the pipe’s threads with Teflon tape to have it seal correctly.
You can try removing with shower head with your hands initially, but if you can’t loosen it, use the tools and cloths to remove the shower head.
Using Blanket/Towel distribute your applied force easily on the base of the shower Heads and avoiding any kind of breaking cases and marks.
If you are not an expert in this, BE CAREFUL about the torque you apply on the base.
You can use any kind of wrench that fits the diameter of Shower Heads but prefer to use Adjustable Wrenches to loosen and unscrew the Base of Shower heads.
After the removal of your old Shower Heads clean the area with water and remove any kind of dust and rust from Threads of the Base.
Start with wrapping Teflon Tape.
After you removes the excess dust and deposits from the shower heads. Now, its time for installing new one for your bathroom!
Start by applying Teflon tape along the grooves of the threads. Take a turn of around 3-4 around the grooves so that shower heads are perfectly placed.
Press around the Teflon tape with your hands after applying it on grooves.
Smooth the Teflon tape with your finger so that it does not remains undone.
Installing New Shower Heads

Take the new shower head you want to fix in your bathroom. Start Tightening it with your hand. Do not directly jump on to the tools for tightening the heads.
After it is completely fixed in the grooves of the threads start turning it in the clockwise direction to lock it.
Tighten it with the adjustable wrenches by placing the towel on it till it is locked.
Do not use the wrenches directly until it is mentioned in the instructions of the Shower heads.
Check the New installed Shower Heads- Leakage?
You have successfully completed the installation process of the Shower Heads. Now, Check its working.
Switch on The water supply and check for any leakage during its functioning.
If Leakage occurs,
Apply more Teflon tapes and tighten the shower heads again.
